Korean Joongjak Organic
Tasting Notes: lush green with creamy vegetal notes
Description: A pleasantly smooth green tea with a fresh taste. A lush green tea with lovely creamy vegetal notes balanced with soft hints of fruit and fresh-cut grass. A finely balanced tea that is both savory and refreshing.
Joongjak (also written as Jungjak) translates as “picked in the middle of June”, meaning that this tea is harvested in early to mid-Summer, which results in the young tea leaves being medium sized and lush. To process this tea, the tea leaves are dried and slightly roasted in line with traditional Korean tea production processes.
Our Joongjak organic green tea comes from the Seogwang Tea Garden located in Seogwipo, Jeju Island, South Korea. This tea grows in an area designated as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. This lush island benefits from very fertile volcanic soil with excellent climate conditions. The water, soil, and temperature of Jeju Island all contribute to making this beautiful organic tea.
