About Clipper Ship Tea Co
Clipper Ship Tea Co is a woman-owned, independent tea company based on Long Island, New York. We opened our first shop in 2010 with just 60 teas, on a wing and a prayer, and a love of sharing incredible loose leaf teas inspired by our travels around the world. Sixteen years later, we now carry more than 200 teas sourced from around the globe.

After 14 years of brick-and-mortar retail in Northport and Huntington, we outgrew those storefronts, closed them in 2024, and purchased a commercial building in Smithtown as a permanent warehouse facility where we could grow and spread our wings.

Renovation plans for our future retail store are currently on hold, and we do not have an opening date for Smithtown at this time. We will revisit those plans in 2027.

We source everything from traditional single-origin and organic teas to innovative blends, seasonal favorites, small-batch teas, and limited-edition drops. We are constantly tasting, sourcing, and adding new teas, so there is always something new to discover. We also love staying creative by designing and launching Advent Calendars, literary teas, and custom packaging.

Our curated collection ships nationwide to tea drinkers across the country. Every tea is hand-packed with love and shipped with care from our Long Island tea warehouse.
